-The Giulietta series was produced from 1954 to 1965 by Italian car maker Alfa Romeo.
-The first Giulietta was a coupe and it was shown in Italy at the 1954 Turin Motor Show. Sedan production began the following spring. -During the summer of 1955, the Giulietta was presented as a two-seat spider featuring a convertible top and bodywork by famed coach builder Pinin Farina.
-It was powered by a 1300 single-carburetor, twin-cam engine, which featured a light allow engine block and an alloy hemispherical cylinder head.
The Spiders power was delivered through an alloy four-speed transmission and a solid rear axle and had drum brakes at all four corners.
-The light curb weight of 1,850 pounds contributed to the ability of achieving its 120 mph top speed.
-The Spider was well known for stability at high speed and ease of driving at its limits.
